19. June 2011

The official Nations' Cup event for dressage and show jumping youngsters at Hagen a.T.W. ended with spectacular competitions. The Hesse National Association won the LVM Masters, a German junior rode away with the victory in the dressage arena and the Young Riders Grand Prix was snatched by a US boy.

The 19 year old Richard Neal from Pasadena, CA and his Irish bred gelding Transmission rose to the top of the field to win the difficult competition. Horse and rider sped through the second round producing a clear round in 44.42 seconds which led to the victory celebration. The young Stefanie van den Brink from the Netherlands was over one second slower with Wapper to take the second place. Andreas Kreuzer, rider for Stall Schockemoehle and Team European Champion, was the best finisher from the host country in third place with Kanazia. Vanessa Borgmann (GER) also managed to jump her way into the second round and finished in eighth place. The Pony Grand Prix victory went to Denmark - to Jessica Toelstrang with Nikolina.

Up Front in Junior Freestyle Pia-Katharina Voigtländer, the multiple junior dressage district champion from Berlin, and Vivien Niemann took the first and second place in the individual freestyle by the CDIOJ. Voigtländer trumped with a score of 75.20% on Laetitian R. Two riders from Denmark grabbed the fourth and fifth placings - Anna Zilbrandtsen and Anne Fabricius Tange. Voigtländer and Niemann were also members of the German team which won the Junior Nations' Cup on Friday.

The German pony riders also experienced a nice international individual final in the dressage arena and stole all three podium spots: Jessica Krieg and Ghost won the Freestyle with over 76 %, Semmieke Rothenberger and Domino Dancing followed in second place and Anna-Lisa Theile took the third place with Desmond.
